Influence of Phase I of composting and sterilization of compost in cultivation Pleurotus ostreatus

Abstract
The Pleurotus ostreatus, white variety, is one among of a wide range of mushroom that is booming in the Brazilian market mainly due to its rustic characteristics of cultivation, as facilities with equipment for minimal control (moisture and insects), which allows the insertion of small producers in the market. This research aims to contribute to the development of the national fungal culture, checking the influence of different periods of the phase I of composting (2, 4 and 6 days) in the Biological Productivity and Efficiency of two lineages of mushroom. It is intended to study the physical and chemical changes that occur in the compost, which is made based on cane sugar straw supplemented with wheat bran, during the substrate preparation process and during the cultivation, obtained from two distinct ways: axenic (sterelized) and the composting followed by the pasteurization with steam; besides verifying water yield and raw material aspects. In this way, the chemical changes will be assessed through mass analysis of the components (lignin, cellulose, hemicelluloses, carbon, nitrogen and soluble sugars) and the pH's analysis; while the physical changes will be assessed by electronic microscopy and density analysis of the compound. The experiment will consist of 8 treatments (2 lineages x 3 periods of phase I + 2 lineages x sterilized substrate) with 25 repetitions of each, and the results will be submitted to the variance analysis (ANOVA) and statistical comparison of averages between the treatments, for that will be used the SAS statistical program and the Turkey's Test at 5% of probability.
