Research Progress in Preservation of Postharvest Edible Fungi

Once edible fungi are picked, metabolism and inoculating microbes affect the quality of the products badly. This article expounds on mushroom freshness-keeping mechanism and on research progress regarding maturity, after-picking treatment technology, temperatures, and packaging materials that can influence edible fungi storage quality which can serve as a guide to edible fungus freshness-keeping technology research and production practices.

Increasing the vitamin D level of oyster mushrooms

Summary: Vitamin D is essential for the human body and mushrooms are one of the natural sources of it. Many research works are aimed at enhancing the vitamin D2 content of mushrooms with UV irradiation in order to increase their vitamin D2 level, by transforming their natural ergosterol content into vitamin D2. The subjects of most of these studies are different kind of post-harvest cultivated mushrooms. In our experiment biologically active, pre-harvest oyster mushrooms were treated in the growing room with UVB and UVC light. UVB and UVC lamps (operating on 312 and 254 nm) and 6 time periods of irradiation (15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 min) were used. After three consecutive days of treatments the yield were measured and samples were taken for vitamin D2 and ergosterol analysis. Data showed considerable increase (from 0,67 μg/g to 3,68 μg/g, f.w.) in vitamin D2 levels at every time period in case of both wavelengths.

این مکمل از چند جز تشکیل شده، دو تا از ترکیباتی داخلش وجود داره دوره کارنس 20 روز رو داره یعنی نمی شه تا 20 روز قارچ رو مصرف کرد

در مورد قارچ صدفی که تا قارچ بده 30 روز مشکلی اینجاد نمی کنه. ولی در قارچ دکمه ای که یه هفته بعد قارچش مصرف می شه نمی شه مصرف کرد

ترکودرمای قارچ دکمه ای هم راه حل داره؟

 کمپوستاتون چطوریه کیسه؟ قفسه ؟ فقط بستر آلودس یا کلاهک ها هم

Double cropping Agaricus bisporus

Over the last two years, we have conducted several experiments to explore the effect of re-supplementing and re-casing mushroom compost for a second crop. These experiments involve removing the casing overlay after 1st, 2nd, or 3rd break and then re-supplementing the compost with various nutrients (Royse et al. 2008).

To facilitate removal of the casing after the desired number of breaks, a fiberglass screen or landscape fabric may be placed over the colonized compost prior to application of casing. The casing then may be peeled off after mushroom harvest (Fig. 1). Once the casing is removed, the "spent" compost may be fragmented, re-supplemented and re-cased for a second crop (Fig. 2).
